Los Padres Chapter Sespe Section Outings

Listed below you will find a wide array of outings sponsored by Los Padres Chapter Sespe Section and other Sierra Club entities. These trips fall into the following categories:

  • Easy
Slower-paced, not a lot of elevation gain, a few miles, enjoy the scenery, carry on a conversation without huffing and puffing.

  • Moderate
A little faster pace, more uphill, around 8 to 10 miles, but still able to stop and talk about the flora and fauna.

  • Strenous
Faster-pace, a lot more uphill, a lot more miles, may be off the trail, some bushwacking, some rock scrambling, rock hopping, creek crossing, some navigating. Definitely need to bring more water.

NOTICE: In order to participate in a Sierra Club outing, you will need to sign a liability waiver. If you would like to read a copy of the waiver prior to attending the outing, please see http://www.sierraclub.org/outings/chapter/forms/

NOTICE: In the interests of facilitating the logistics of some outings, it is customary that participants make voluntary carpooling arrangements. The Sierra Club does not have insurance for carpooling arrangements and assumes no liability for them. Carpooling, ride sharing or anything similar is strictly a private arrangement among participants. Participants assume the risks associated with this travel.
